The Golden State Warriors improved to 12-7 with a victory on Friday and remained in fifth place in the Western Conference standings. The Warriors are just a half-game behind the Los Angeles Clippers for the fourth spot.
Memphis (14-3) is still atop the conference, but the Grizzlies' lead is just half a game over the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs who are both 16-4 on the season.
The Warriors have a little bit of room behind them with the Utah Jazz holding the sixth spot at 11-10. The Denver Nuggets (10-10) and Minnesota Timberwolves (9-9) are clinging on to the final two future playoff positions ahead of the 9-9 Houston Rockets who are currently ninth in the West.
