The Golden State Warriors head down the coast on Saturday to take on the Los Angeles Clippers in the third game of the season for each team.
The Warriors are trying to bounce back from a 104-94 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday that dropped them to 1-1 on the young season. Power forward Carl Landry is Golden State's leading scorer through two games, averaging 18.5 points in the first two contests of the season. Three other players – Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and David Lee – are all averaging double-digit scoring in their first two games.
The Clippers are the early leaders in the Pacific Division, winning their first two matches of the new season. LA comes into Saturday's game on a high note after beating their rival Los Angeles Lakers, 105-95, on Friday. The Clippers offense, led by Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and Jamal Crawford, is averaging 103 points per game so far, fifth-best in the league.
