2012 NBA schedule: Warriors, Kings trying to carry momentum from last week

The Warriors and Kings have quietly captured some momentum and will now look to carry it over into two early week battles with Western Conference foes.

Even though rest of the NBA probably didn't notice, the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings were both pretty successful last week, and they'll look to carry their mini-hot streaks into Tuesday night's games.

The Warriors won three of their four games last week to give them five victories in their last seven games. And after all that action, Golden State (8-6) will now be rewarded with the luxury of rest as a Tuesday night duel with the Denver Nuggets is their only game over the next five days. Unfortunately for the Warriors, the Nuggets (8-6) are also on their own hot streak, as they've won their last four games, including a visit to Golden State last Friday in which they secured a 102-91 victory.

As for the other Bay Area team, the Kings went 2-1 this past week with one of those wins being a 113-97 upset over the Los Angeles Lakers. Sacramento will now be welcoming the Timberwolves into town this Tuesday as it attempts to get revenge for its 92-80 early November loss in Minnesota.

Check back with SB Nation Bay Area throughout the week to keep track on how these two Pacific Division teams fare.
