Golden State Warriors center Andrew Bogut is aiming to return on Monday after sitting out due to continued ankle problems.

Andrew Bogut eyes a return to practice on Monday after getting back from Los Angeles, where the Golden State Warriors center worked out with the surgeon who operated on his ankle. According to CSN Bay Area, the Warriors' 7-footer is making progress on a return from lingering ankle issues, though he is still scheduled to miss the next three games.

Bogut, who broke his ankle and only played in 12 games last year, was supposed to be ready to go by the season opener.

While he did play in four of the five games to start the year, the Warriors announced on Nov. 8 that he was going to take 10 days off to strengthen the ankle. In those four games, Bogut averaged 6.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and a block per game in 18.3 minutes a night.

He was on restricted minutes to start the year and missed one game because of a back-to-back situation.

The earliest Bogut could return is a Nov. 29 home game against the Denver Nuggets.
