Stephen Curry had a game-high 26 points, but Golden State Warriors forward Brandon Rush suffered a left knee injury that appeared to be serious as the Warriors lost, 104-94, to the Memphis Grizzlies in their home opener on Friday night.

The injury occurred in the first quarter, when Zach Randolph fouled Rush, who subsequently took a scary fall and had to be helped off the court. Immediately after the injury, the Warriors fell behind by 14 points, but managed to go on a 15-0 run to take a 39-38 lead.

It was after that when the Grizzlies pulled away and didn't look back.

Curry's 26 points came on 10 for 20 shooting from the field, including 6 of 10 from the three-point line. He also added seven assists, five rebounds and a steal. Carl Landry scored 20 points off the bench. Andrew Bogut totaled just four points and three rebounds in 18 minutes of action following his return from an ankle injury. He is expected to sit out the game on Saturday night against the Los Angeles Clippers.
