NBA schedule 2012: Warriors-Clippers highlight weekend slate

The Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings both play back to back games this Friday and Saturday.

Jennifer Stewart-US PRESSWIRE

The Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings both have back to backs scheduled for Friday and Saturday.

The Warriors face a couple of playoff teams from last season as they host the Memphis Grizzlies in Friday night's home opener before heading down to Southern California to face the Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and the Los Angeles Clippers. The Warriors are coming off a Halloween night win over the Phoenix Suns that saw both point guard Stephen Curry and center Andrew Bogut.

The Kings continue their road trip across the Midwest Friday night as they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center before heading to Indianapolis to face the Indiana Pacers. The Kings are coming off an opening night loss to the Chicago Bulls, 93-87.

Friday night's national slate features the Miami Heat and New York Knicks opening up Madison Square Garden less than one week after Hurricane Sandy struck the New York and New Jersey coasts. That game is set for 5 p.m. PT. Friday's night cap features the Clippers "going on the road" to face the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center. Both games can be seen on ESPN.

Here's a look at the schedules for both the Warriors and Kings:

Friday: Kings at Timberwolves, 5 p.m. PT, Comcast SportsNet California; Grizzlies at Warriors, 7:30 p.m. PT, Comcast SportsNet Bay Area

Saturday: Kings at Pacers, 4 p.m. PT, Comcast SportsNet California; Warriors at Clippers, 7:30 p.m. PT, Comcast SportsNet Bay Area.
