Golden State Warriors center Andrew Bogut is yet to be cleared to play 5-on-5 basketball, though is hoping to see some time in a preseason game or two and be ready by the season opener on Halloween night according to CSN Bay Area's Matt Steinmetz. That means that may be an increased need for Andris Beidrins to be productive, which he has been far from over the last few seasons.

Here is what Biedrins had to say about his game during Warriors media day on Tuesday:

"My commitment level has always been the same as it is now - and like it was before," said Biedrins, entering his ninth NBA season. "That doesn't mean just because I wasn't here I wasn't practicing. I was practicing hard, twice a day, for the past month. I feel great. As long as I can help, come in here in great shape at the start of training camp with the other guys, that's almost the same thing."

Biedrins averaged 10.6 points and 10.1 rebounds in 28.6 minutes on the floor from 2006-2009 for Golden State, but has watched his production and minutes plummet over the past few seasons, culminating with an average of 1.7 points and 3.7 rebounds in 15.7 minutes a game last year. He saw time in 47 games in 2011-12, starting 35 of them. If he can get back towards his '06-'09 self, that would be a big help if the W's are without Bogut.
