Warriors vs. Trail Blazers: Game time, TV schedule and more

The Warriors are playing great in the preseason thanks to David Lee, but all eyes are on rookie Festus Ezeli.

Kelley L Cox-US PRESSWIRE

The Golden State Warriors are off to a great start this preseason, for whatever that's worth. They are 4-1 in large part because of David Lee, who looks like he is in midseason form, averaging 17 points, and nine rebounds. But tonight will be a test for Lee (at least as big of a test as someone can get in an exhibition game) as he squares off against Portland's LaMarcus Aldridge.

The Warriors are still without center Andrew Bogut and he won't be ready for the start of the season either, putting the spotlight on big man Festus Ezeli. The rookie from Vanderbilt has impressed the Warriors with his defense and rebounding, which is enough right now, even if he offensive game leaves a lot to be desired. Tonight is another opportunity for him to make strides because the regular season is just two weeks away and he will be the man taking the opening tip.

After tonight, the Warriors will have just two preseason games left. Then it's an eight-day layoff and the start of the regular season on October 21 in Phoenix.

Game Date/Time: Friday, October 19; 7 p.m. PT

Venue: Rose Garden, Portland, Ore.

TV: NBA TV
