Stanford vs. Colorado score update: Cardinal take 14-0 lead early in second quarter

The Stanford Cardinal entered Saturday's game against Colorado as the heavy favorites. About 17 minutes into action, Stanford already holds a 14-0 lead over the last-place Buffaloes.

Ed Reynolds picked off a pass from Jordan Webb and returned it 48 yards to give the Cardinal an early 7-0 lead in the first quarter. On the third play of the second quarter, tailback Stepfan Taylor carried the ball 26 yards to reach the end zone and give his team a 14-0 lead. Colorado then got the ball back, but they went three-and-out and are about to punt yet again.

Josh Nunes has made a couple of impressive throws early. True freshman Kevin Hogan saw a few snaps early in the game like coach David Shaw said he would, and he completed his lone pass for seven yards.

It's tough to imagine Stanford not making this game a blowout by the time the second half rolls along. You can catch all of the action on FX.
