Oregon State vs. Stanford score update: Beavers answer, but Cardinal remain in front 14-10 at halftime

The visiting Oregon State Beavers cut into the Stanford Cardinal's 14-0 lead in the second quarter with ten consecutive points, but the Cardinal remain in front by the score of 14-10 at halftime.

After holding the Beavers to almost nothing on offense in the first quarter, Stanford's stout defense let up ten points in the second quarter, where both of the scoring drives came on long drives in number of plays and the time it took of the clock.

It looked as if the Cardinal would be able to extend their 14-10 lead right before halftime, but star running back Stepfan Taylor fumbled just outside Oregon State's 20 yard line. Fortunately for Stanford, the Beavers were forced into punting the ball.

Stanford kicker Jordan Williamson missed a 51 yard field goal with one second remaining in the half, sending the Cardinal into halftime with a four point lead against the visiting Beavers.

Making his first start for the Cardinal, Kevin Hogan impressed in the passing game, completing 13 of 16 passes for 165 yards and one touchdown. Beavers running back Storm Woods rushed for 63 yards in the first half.
