Stanford kicker Jordan Williamson missed a 51 yard field goal with one second remaining in the half, sending the Cardinal into halftime with a four point lead against the visiting Beavers.
Making his first start for the Cardinal, Kevin Hogan impressed in the passing game, completing 13 of 16 passes for 165 yards and one touchdown. Beavers running back Storm Woods rushed for 63 yards in the first half.
