The Stanford Cardinal are currently 28 point favorites over the Colorado Buffaloes, and it makes perfect sense to anyone who's watched both teams.
The Buffaloes have been a horrific college football team. After their win over Washington State, the Buffs have lost to UCLA by 28, to Arizona State by 34, to USC by 44, and to Oregon by 56. Now their overwhelmed defense must deal with one of the most physical offensive fronts in the country, one that loves to run the football and grind the ball down the throats of their opponents.
It's hard to like Colorado's chances to win this one. They might have a chance to cover the spread, as Stanford has struggled to move the football at times and their offense has stagnated, regardless of the quality of opponent. Stanford just came off a narrow 24-17 victory over Washington State, so it's not like the Cardinal are overwhelming the worst of their opponents.
