2012 Pac-12 Football Standings: Stanford moves into tie for second in North

Stanford is now tied with Oregon State for second place in the Pac-12 North after the Beavers slipped up this past Saturday.

Assisted by Washington's upset over Oregon State, the Stanford Cardinal moved into a tie for second place in the Pac-12 North this past weekend.

Stanford racked up 10 sacks in their 24-17 win over Washington State Saturday as they moved to 4-1 in the conference. Only the undefeated Oregon Ducks remain superior to Stanford, whose Pac-12 record is better than anyone in the South division.

Stanford has another easy one next week against Colorado before getting their chance to move to the top of the North when they face Oregon State and Oregon in back-to-back weeks.

As for the Cal, the Golden Bears continue to tumble down the standings, losing their second straight game, this time to Utah, for their fourth conference loss of 2012. They'll be playing host to the Huskies next week as they look to stop the skid.
