After a disappointing 17-13 loss to the Washington Huskies on Thursday night, the Stanford Cardinal tumbled ten spots to No. 18 in SB Nation's BlogPoll Top 25 for Week 5.
The Cardinal received 7.55 votes per blog in the poll after claiming 17.65 votes per blog (including two first place votes) after Week 4. The highest ranking the team received by any voter was a single No. 8 vote, but a majority of voters cast the Cardinal in the No. 13 to No. 19 range on their ballots.
The top five spots in the poll remain as they were in Week 4. Alabama hung on to the No.1 spot after downing Ole Miss 33-14 in Week 5. No. 2 Oregon stayed put after destroying Washington State 51-26, and Florida State remained in the No. 3 slot. No. 4 LSU and No.5 Georgia retained their positions in the Week 4 poll as well.
