NIT 2013 selection show: Time, TV schedule and more

Which teams that missed the NCAA tournament will make the NIT? We'll find out Sunday night.

USA TODAY Sports

The NIT selection show follows two hours after the conclusion of the NCAA tournament selection show, and that's when teams disappointed about missing out on the NCAAs will begin to learn their postseason fates.

Thirty-two teams will earn NIT berths; teams that won regular season conference titles but lost in their conference tournaments and failed to earn an at-large bid to the NCAAs are automatically given slots in the NIT. The rest of the field of 32 will be determined by a committee.

Some of the notable major-conference teams left out of the NCAA tournament that could earn high seeds in the NIT include Kentucky, Maryland, Virginia, Stanford, Tennessee and Alabama. The Bracket Project has some projections for the field.

Here's the info for Sunday night's show:

Time: 6 p.m. PT
