The Stanford Cardinal will return to the field for the first time since they upset No. 2 USC when they travel to Washington to face the Huskies on Thursday.
The Cardinal are 3-0 on the season and now ranked No. 8 in the latest Associated Press poll. Stanford is one of three undefeated teams left in the Pac-12. They will face a 2-1 Husky team also coming off a bye week. The Huskies are 2-0 at home this season with wins over San Diego State and Portland State.
With Husky Stadium currently undergoing a remodel, Washington is playing its home games at CenturyLink Field. With the game set to be broadcast on ESPN and kickoff at 6 p.m. PT, the Cardinal will once again be in the national spotlight. The Cardinal have won the last four meetings between the schools and six of the last seven.
While Stanford is coming off a big win, California returns home looking to regroup after back-to-back losses. The Bears lost 27-9 to No. 13 USC last week, a week after they lost 35-28 at No. 12 Ohio State. The 1-3 Bears will host a 3-1 Arizona State team coming off an impressive 37-7 win against Utah.
