NCAA Women's Final Four: Skylar Diggins, Notre Dame Survives UConn 83-75 In Overtime

It looked as if Notre Dame was about to blow their Final Four contest against Connecticut, as they lost their decent lead and fell behind by two points with only seconds remaining. But after Skylar Diggins missed her running shot with seconds left, Natalie Novosel grabbed the offensive rebound and managed to put it back up and in to tie the game and send the contest into overtime.

Diggins recovered from her earlier struggles by coming up with the most crucial sequence of overtime, getting a block on a UConn attempted layup, then driving the other way before dishing and kicking it out to Brittany Mallory for the clutch three, a big five point swing with mere minutes left to earn victory. Diggins finished with 19 points on the game. Notre Dame moves onto the semifinal with an 83-75 victory, as they'll face the winner of Stanford-Baylor.
