NCAA Women's Final Four: Stanford's Ogwumike Sisters Have No Problem Playing the Underdog

Baylor Bears superstar Brittney Griner has been the poster child for women's college basketball the past few seasons, and continues to do so heading into the 2012 Final Four. But standout sisters Nnemkadi and Chiney Ogwumike and the rest of the Stanford Cardinal, they are up for Baylor's challenge and have no problem playing the underdog.

`I don't think we go into many games where we're not expected to win,'' Stanford coach Tara VanDerveer said. ``This game, there might not be anyone in this room besides me that thinks we are going to win.''

I little hyperbole never hurt, but it may be true as the Card are yet to face the Bears with Griner on the team, seeing that they haven't played each other in over four years. Nevertheless, it's not time to worry about what might happen and focus on what you can control.

"I'm here having fun with my team, I'm excited, ready to play, not just going to give on Sunday,'' she said. ``I'll give it all I got especially because I'm a senior, it's my last hurrah you got to go out with a bang.''

Griner feels responsible for Baylor's loss in last years NCAA Championship game, and will stop at nothing until she leads her team to victory. All the Baylor players wear wrist bands with 'unfinished business' written on them. Stanford's school-record 32 game winning streak is also incredibly impressive, and would hate to see it go all for nought. We'll find out Sunday night.
