NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock spoke about what he's seen at the 2012 NFL Scouting combine and among his topics of conversation was Stanford offensive guard David DeCastro, who is slated as a top-15 pick on pretty much every sports website's mock draft. And from the following quote from Mayock, he likes what he sees from DeCastro as well.
"When you get him, you're going to plug him in Day 1 and he's going to be your starting guard - of course the exception could be injury or free agency - but he could be your starting guard for the next 10 years. That's what the Cowboys need; they need to keep getting younger and more athletic, in that offensive line."
Mayock also spoke on how he'd be shocked if Stanford's Andrew Luck and Baylor's Robert Griffin III didn't go 1-2 at the top of the draft, how much he loves the defensive tackle position in this draft and how disappointingly weak the tight end class is this year.
