Stanford Vs. Utah: Late Three Sinks Cardinal 58-57 Despite 19 From Chasson Randle

The Stanford Cardinal headed to Salt Lake City to take on the Utah Utes Saturday evening, but thanks to a Chris Hines game winning three the Card would leave the Huntsman Center empty handed, falling by the score of 58-57.

Chris Hines dropped 19 points for the Utes (6-22, 3-13 Pac 12) , who’s dagger three with 27 seconds left ensured the end of an eight game losing streak for Utah.

Freshman Chasson Randle had a chance for the win, but missed a long three atempt at the buzzer. He led Stanford (19-10, 9-8 Pac 12) with 19 points, including five from downtown. Josh Owens and Anthony Brown each added 11 apiece.

Jason Washburn added 17 points for the Utes, who played a significant role from the free throw line by making 17 of 21 attempts, while Dijon Farr added 12 points and six rebounds.

The Card now head home for their final regular season game against their rival Cal Golden Bears on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. PT.
