The Stanford Cardinal football team appears set to avenge their last loss in the state of North Carolina as they were in perfect sync for their first offensive drive against the Duke Blue Devils. Andrew Luck was 4 for 4 for 61 yards and a touchdown and Stepfan Taylor rushed three times for 18 yards to give the Cardinal a 7-0 lead.
The big play on the drive saw the Cardinal run a flea-flicker that saw Andrew Luck hook up with wide receiver Chris Owusu for a 43-yard connection. You can view video of the player over at ESPN.com. The pass got the Cardinal down to the Duke 27 yard line. Stepfan Taylor followed the pass with a 14 yard run, Geoff Meinken added a seven yard run and Luck capped the drive with a three yard touchdown pass to Coby Fleener.
Duke has since marched down into the Stanford red zone but missed on a 27-yard field goal. Stanford takes over deep in their own territory looking to build on the 7-0 lead.
