The Stanford Cardinal women's basketball is a powerhouse and they will probably be a huge threat to win the 2011 women's basketball tournament. They were the team to beat the Connecticut Huskies and end their historic 90 game winning streak. They've won 23 straight games and rolled through the conference undefeated, finishing #2 in the country behind UConn. Tara Vanderveer has her team well-positioned to possibly win her third national championship in Palo Alto, and her first in over two decades since 1991-92.
