The Stanford Cardinal are headed into the biggest game of the season against the Oregon Ducks. And at this moment it's hard to say who the better team is. Both have had their first half struggles. Both have laid their stamps in the second half by generally dominating the opposition and pulling away. Stanford and Oregon are both undefeated at the Pac-12, and the winner of this game seems bound to get to the conference game.
It makes sense that the Cardinal are a standard three point favorite over Oregon. Stanford and Oregon both have explosive offenses but suspect defenses. No one really knows whether the physical power of the Stanford offense can compete with the speed and relentlessness of the Oregon attack, considering the Cardinal roared to a 21-3 lead last season only to get rolled and shut out in the second half last week. But this is a more seasoned Andrew Luck, a Stanford team that hasn't lost since that game, and a home date in Palo Alto with the whole nation watching. Something tells me this won't be anything close to an Oregon blowout.
