BCS Rankings, Week 11: Stanford Holds Steady At Fourth, Just Behind Alabama

Week ten of the 2011 college football season wrapped up Saturday evening following the much anticipated LSU-Alabama battle of No. 1 versus No. 2. If you like defensive battles it was the game for you. If you like scoring, No. 3 Oklahoma State's wild win over Kansas State might have been more to your liking. Either way, week ten is a wrap and we now have the week eleven BCS rankings to see what this all means moving forward.

The LSU Tigers solidified their number one spot in the rankings courtesy of a 9-6 overtime victory over Alabama. LSU has some tough games remaining, but right now they are looking like the best team in the country. On the other side, Alabama takes a hit, but still could very well end up with a rematch against LSU in the BCS National Title Game.

Oklahoma State climbed into the number two spot while Alabam only dropped one spot to number three. They remain slightly ahead of No. 4 Stanford. The Cardinal are .0087 behind Alabama and this coming Saturday's Stanford-Oregon game has some huge implications. A Stanford win would seemingly be enough to bump them ahead of the Crimson Tide who travel to face unranked Mississippi State. If Oregon gets the win, they could find themselves climbing up past Oklahoma, although they have more distance to cover than Stanford does against Alabama.

A potential BCS buster sits out there in Oklahoma State versus Texas Tech. The Red Raiders stunned Oklahoma and will look to make the state sweep against the Cowboys. For now, the big game though is Stanford versus Oregon. Aside from just the national title picture is the fact that the winner is the heavy favorite to at least end up in the Rose Bowl.

Here are the Top 10 teams in the Week Eleven BCS Rankings:

1. LSU
2. Oklahoma State
3. Alabama
4. Stanford
5. Boise State
6. Oklahoma
7. Oregon
8. Arkansas
9. Clemson
10. Virginia Tech
