The Stanford Cardinal (4-0, 0-0 Pac-12) will be spending their Thanksgiving week out in New York City, finishing up play in the semifinals of the Dick's Sporting Goods NIT Season Tip-Off at the historic Madison Square Garden against the always dangerous Oklahoma State Cowboys (3-0, 0-0 Big 12).
The Cardinal took out Fresno State and Colorado State last week at Maples Pavilion during the opening rounds of the Preseason NIT's West Regional to move on to the semifinals against Okie St. on Wednesday night. Syracuse and Virginia Tech will duke it out in the other semifinal matchup.
The Cowboys has won its first three games by an average of 21.3 a game, with blowouts over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Arkansas-Pine Bluff under the belts already. They're first test of the year came against Texas-San Antonio last game, earning 90-85 overtime win after overcoming an 11-point deficit over the final 2:30 of regulation. Oklahoma State holds the upper hand at 2-0 against the Cardinal all-time, though Stanford is 7-2 in games they've played at Madison Square Garden.
