Former Stanford golfer Tiger Woods is in the Bay area this weekend for the Fry's.com Open in San Martin. As he works through a weekend of golf, he happens to be not too far from his former college stomping grounds. Given the close proximity to Palo Alto, Tiger decided to stop by the Stanford-Colorado game to enjoy Stanford beating down the Buffaloes.
The last time Tiger was noticeably present for a Stanford game at Stanford Stadium, it was the 2009 Big Game against Cal. Bears fans attended the game in droves and proceeded to boo Tiger when he was honored at halftime. The Cardinal lost that game 34-28 and Bears fans went home extremely happy with the result. The Big Game returns to Stanford Stadium this year, so we'll have to wait and see if Cal fans overwhelm the stadium once again. And of course we can wait to see if Tiger makes a return appearance.
