Jim Harbaugh Circulated As Dallas Cowboys Coaching Candidate, Whatever That Means

Aaand it begins again for Jim Harbaugh and Stanford Fans. All it took was Wade Phillips getting kicked to the curb for the rumors to start circulating about the hottest coaching commodity two years running.  The Star-Telegram provides us with the candidates.

Jim Harbaugh, Stanford head coach: Harbaugh, 46, is young. He is a former first-round draft pick who played for five teams over 15 NFL seasons. His brother, John, became the head coach of the Ravens when Jason Garrett turned down the job. Jim Harbaugh has transformed Stanford into a top-25 program.

Now, I belong firmly in the camp that Jimmy doesn't have any intent of sticking around at Palo Alto any longer than he has to stick around. But I find it VERY hard to believe Harbaugh would ever want to deal with the meddling of Jerry Jones. Harbaugh rules the Stanford Cardinal football program with an iron fist, and I'd imagine he would want to run his team with minimal distractions. Whether he actually becomes interested in the job might need to require the Cowboys getting the number one draft pick and a possible reunion with Andrew Luck...
