The Harris Interactive College Football Poll is one of the two voting polls (alongside the USA Today/Coaches Poll) that is used in helping determine the BCS rankings. The Harris Poll includes former coaches, players and administrators, and former and current members of the media.
In the latest edition of that poll (PDF), Stanford retained its spot at No. 13. Stanford’s BCS ranking will now come down to how they fare in the various computer rankings that make up the other component of the BCS formula.
Elsewhere, the California Golden Bears added two votes in the rankings. Cal’s road opponent next week, the Oregon State Beavers, have 24 votes in the poll. A Cal victory would certainly give them some momentum and boost them in the Harris poll.
