San Jose Sharks winger Logan Couture, who has been playing hockey in Switzerland during the NHL lockout, is happy to stay in Geneva until a deal is made, according to a report from Kevin Kurz of CSNBayArea.com.
The three-year pro has played in 10 games for Geneva-Servette HC and has tallied an impressive three goals and seven assists for a squad that is 12-3 and in first place in its league. Couture's numbers are particularly encouraging because he's coming off of offseason shoulder surgery to correct an issue that may have contributed to to his lack of production late in the year for the Sharks last season. He's playing on a line that features former NHL center Dan Fritche -- formerly of the New York Rangers, Columbus Blue Jackets and Minnesota Wild -- and former Philadelphia Flyers fourth-round pick Kevin Romy.
In 80 games for the Sharks in 2011-12, the 23-year-old Couture had 31 goals and 34 assists.
