The San Jose State Spartans will face the Bowling Green Falcons in the 2012 Military Bowl. San Jose State is currently installed as 7.5 point favorites according to the various sportsbooks.
San Jose State enjoyed an excellent season in the WAC, going 5-1 and winning 10 of 12 games. San Jose State fell narrowly to Pac-12 champion Stanford and also lost to eventual WAC champion Utah State, but otherwise ran through their schedule unscathed. The Spartans beat squads like San Diego State, BYU, Louisiana Tech and Navy to get to the 10-2 mark.
Bowling Green had a satisfactory season; other than a blowout loss to Virginia Tech, the Falcons have played strongly in all their games. They lost to Kent State by only a touchdown, they lost to Florida by only 13 points, and fell to Toledo. Bowling Green handled the rest of their opponents on their schedule quite capably, including a six game winning streak near the end of the season.
