San Jose State vs. New Mexico State score update: Spartans up big, 37-0, at half

The San Jose State Spartans have jumped out to big, 37-0, lead over the New Mexico State Aggies in Las Cruces, NM on Saturday afternoon. The Spartans took control early, building a 17-0 lead after the first quarter and added on in the second.

SJSU quarterback David Fales had little trouble shredding the Aggies defense in the first half. Fales completed 11 of 17 passes for 237 yards and three touchdowns. His favorite target has been Noel Grigsby, who has caught four balls for 70 yards.

DeLeon Eskridge supplemented the passing game nicely, carrying the ball seven times for 97 yards and a score.

The defense also got in on the scoring fun, as defensive back Bene Benwikere recovered a fumble and returned in 40 yards for a score.

San Jose State kept the shutout intact by stopping New Mexico State at the goal line to end the first half. The Spartans will get the ball to start the second half.
