According to a tweet from the Mercury News' David Pollak, T.J. Galiardi's one-year deal he signed on Saturday will be worth $950K.
Galiardi joined the Sharks from the Colorado Avalanche in a midseason deal that sent Jamie McGinn and prospects to Colorado. Galiardi only scored one goal in 14 games but the Sharks felt like they should bring him back.
When Galiardi initially announced via twitter that he was re-signing, he used the word ‘redemption' within the tweet. It looks like he'll enter the season with a chip on his shoulder as he tries to get back the promise he showed as a rookie during his 2010-2011 campaign. Galiardi is known to be a very determined young player so his words shouldn't be taken as blind wishes.
At least, that's what Sharks fans are hoping.
