VIDEO: Sharks Vs. Blues Game Ends, Fights Commence

Saturday night's game between the San Jose Sharks and the St. Louis Blues featured hot tempers from both sides throughout the duration of play. The intensity displayed on the ice made it seem like a Game 7 rather than a Game 2. Hits were doled out, scuffles frequently broke out and shoves occasionally erupted into full-blown fights. But when all was said and done and the regulation time ran out -- that's when the main event began.

As soon as the horn sounded, signaling a 3-0 Blues victory, fights broke out all over the ice. The officials, for their part, mostly threw up their hands and let things play out. After all, it's not like there are penalties to award any more, right? Behold the carnage:

SMASH! KABOOM! BLAMMO!

Unfortunately, the Sharks appeared to largely come out on the losing end of the fights. There's some truly spectacular action in there. Unfortunately, no one walloped anyone else with a steel folding chair or dropped a big elbow from the top rope, but other than that it was a spectacular display.

The two teams have clearly grown to loathe one another in short order. When the series returns to San Jose, tempers are sure to be white-hot and the atmosphere should be off the charts. The Sharks will be putting on the foil for the remainder of this series and this is far from the last brawl we will see.

Now all the Sharks need is for their offense to get mean as well.
