Earthquakes Vs. Whitecaps FC, MLS Scores: Chris Wondolowski Leads Comeback In 3-1 San Jose Victory

The San Jose Earthquakes are off to their best start in team history after Chris Wondolowski netted two more goals en route to the Quakes 3-1 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps FC.

San Jose had to rally back after Vancouver scored an early goal, until a 68th minute strike from Wondo leveled the score. A few minutes later Alan Corner fired cross into the back of the net in the 73rd minute, completed with the final blow of the evening from Wondo in the 79th, who now has six goals in five games played this season.

Vancouver set the new MLS record for mosr time played without conceding a goal after the frist half, but that quickly went out the window as San Jose continues it’s hot start.

With the win the Quakes moves to 4-1-0 on the season, and prepare for their next matchup against the New York Red Bulls on April 14. Vancouver, meanwhile, drop to 2-1-2 on the season.
