The San Jose Earthquakes must consider themselves quite lucky to have a talent such as Chris Wondolowski on their team, who's outstanding goal against the Seattle Sounders FC would prove the difference maker as San Jose earned themselves a 1-0 victory at CenturyLink Field.
Steven Lenhart drew a penalty in the 24th minute of play, setting up the easy netter for Wondo, already his fourth goal of the young season. Seattle had some solid chances in the second half but keeper Jon Busch maintained his clean sheet for the match.
San Jose already has themselves nine points in only four contests (3-1-0) thus far. They take to the pitch again next Saturday when they host another pleasant surprise of a team in the form of the Vancouver Whitecaps at Buck Shaw Stadium. Kick off is set for 7:30 p.m. PT
