Revolution Vs. Earthquakes, MLS Preview: Quakes Kick-off 2012 Against Revs At Buck Shaw Stadium

The San Jose Earthquakes are ready to kickoff their 2012 campaign as they host the New England Revolution at Buck Shaw Stadium Saturday night.

After finishing in the cellar of the Eastern Conference in 2011, the Revolution earned a 6-0-1 record during the preseason this year. The Revs completed the undefeated run by drawing 0-0 with the LA Galaxy in the finals of the FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup in Tucson, Ariz., with the Galaxy claiming the title through a penalty-kick tiebreaker.

As for the Earthquakes, they enter this season looking to make a bg move up the standings as well, making a number f acquisitions in the offseason trying to improve the club. Led by Chris Wondolowski, the current MLS-best active streak of five straight games with at least one goal scored dating back to the final five contests of 2011.
