The San Jose Earthquakes have a 1-0 lead from Sunday's victory against the LA Galaxy acting as a advantage heading into Wednesday's second leg of the MLS semifinal matchup at Buck Shaw Stadium. That doesn't mean head coach Frank Yallop thinks his team is at much of an advantage.
Yallop told the MLS website that he wants the series finale to be another defensively-focused effort from his Earthquakes, a much different approach than the regular season series between the two teams that saw them combine for 16 goals.
San Jose has the Galaxy's number this season with a 3-0-1 record in three regular season games and Sunday's first leg semifinal win.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy know that the last thing they can do is allow a goal to the Earthquakes. LA will fight for its life and a chance to play either Real Salt Lake or Seattle in the MLS Western Conference Finals.
