San Jose Earthquakes Forward Chris Wondolowski Makes MLS All-Star Team for First Time

San Jose Earthquakes forward and 2010 MLS Golden Boot Award winner Chris Wondolowski has become one of the hottest players in the American soccer, leading San Jose in scoring as well as being an important part of the US National team in the recent Gold Cup. Now Wondo can add another accolade to his list, being named to the starting nine of the MLS's All-Star team. It is the first time in his seven year career that he has been an All-Star, and now will look forward to their match with the 2011 champions of the English Premier League, Manchester United, in the 2011 AT&T MLS All-Star game on July 27 at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey.

The top nine players that received the most votes at their respective positions will be the starters from a combined fan vote via three separate platforms - MLSsoccer.com, text message, or Twitter.  Although the actual starting lineup will be decided by coach Hans Backe, it most likely will include Wondolowski as he was one of the top vote getters for the forward position.
