Giants Vs. Dodgers: Barry Zito, Clayton Kershaw Battle In Series Finale

The San Francisco Giants complete their series with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday at AT&T Park, as a pair of Cy Young winners square off as Barry Zito looks to get the job done against L.A. ace Clayton Kershaw.

Zito (10-8, 4.51) hasn't made it past the sixth inning in six of his previous eight starts, though the Giants have won each of his last six starts. He's also 1-5 over his past 10 starts against L.A. with a 2.92 ERA.

As for Kershaw (12-8, 2.79 ERA) he gave up one run in seven innings en route to a 6-3, 11-inning loss to San Diego in his last start, though still leads all NL starters in innings pitched (59.1), strikeouts (65), and opponent batting average (.194) since July 28.

Look for Marco Scutaro to stay hot, who is 10 for 21 in his last five games and 4-7 against Kershaw. Conversely, Hunter Pence and Brandon Belt are a combined 4-40 against him.

First pitch is set for 5:05 p.m. PT with coverage on ESPN and KNBR 680 AM.
