Giants Vs. Dodgers Game Recap: Marco Scutaro, Angel Pagan Power San Francisco to 5-2 Win

Angel Pagan went 3-for-4 with one RBI and added a stolen base while Marco Scutaro drove in two runs of his own to power the San Francisco Giants past the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-2 in front of a sellout crowd at AT&T Park on Friday.

Tim Lincecum went six strong innings for the Giants, allowing four hits and two earned runs while striking out seven and adding seven walks. Opposite Lincecum was Josh Beckett, who didn't fare as well for the Dodgers, giving up seven hits and four earned runs and earned the loss, his second with the team.

Scutaro's seventh inning, two-out single to right field broke a 2-2 tie and scored Gregor Blanco and Brandon Crawford in the bottom of the seventh inning. It would be the difference in the game and put the Giants up for good.

Adam Kennedy went deep for the Dodgers, hitting his second home run of the year in the sixth inning off Lincecum.

San Francisco moves to 78-60 on the season and widened its stranglehold on the National League West division lead to 5.5 games. Game 2 of the three game series against Los Angeles is scheduled for Saturday at 1:05 p.m.
