The San Francisco Giants begin their final home stand of the regular season on Tuesday as they play host to the Arizona Diamondbacks for a three game set at AT&T Park.
With the NL West title wrapped up the Giants look to clinch the season series with Arizona, whom they are currently 7-8 against. San Francisco are
winners of nine of their previous 10 series against divisional foes, taking two of three in their last meeting with the D-backs Sept. 14-16.
Tyler Skaggs (1-3, 5.83) squares off with Tim Lincecum (10-14, 4.91 ERA) in the series opener. Skaggs has lost his last two outings, giving up four runs over five innings of work en route to a 6-5 loss to the Padres on Thursday. Lincecum has won three of his last four starts, including a scoreless 6.1 inning effort against the Rockies in his last outing. First pitch is set for 7:15 p.m. PT with coverage on CSN Bay Area and KNBR 680 AM.
Wade Miley (16-10, 3.25) faces Matt Cain (15-5, 2.86 ERA) on Wednesday. Miley allowed five runs over six innings in his last start, but still got the win. As for Cain, he tossed eight innings of one run ball in his last outing for his 15th win of the season. First pitch is set for 7:15 with coverage on CSN Bay Area and KNBR 680 AM.
Patrick Corbin (6-7, 4.02) takes on Barry Zito (13-8, 4.18 ERA) in the finale on Thursday. Corbin lasted just three innings against the Rockies on Saturday, allowing five runs while taking a no-decision. Zito earned his third win in a row after allowing two runs on 10 hits in 5.2 innings of work in his last start. First pitch is set for 12:45 p.m. PT with coverage on CSN Bay Area and KNBR 680 AM.
