The San Francisco Giants released their 2013 season schedule on Wednesday morning, making some interesting trips around the league under the new realignment and season-long interleague play. And thanks to the Houston Astros moving to the A.L. they will have one extra matchup with all their NL West rivals next season.
San Francisco will open their year against the arch rival Los Angeles Dodgers on April 2-4 before heading back to San Francisco for their home opening set on April 5 against the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Giants will host the Dodgers for three series next season; May 3-5, July 5-7 and Sept. 24-26. They will have a 10-game homestand from May 3-12 against the Dodgers, Phillies and Braves.
The Black and Orange will also have two 10-game road trips, from June 24-July 4 at Los Angeles, Colorado, and Cincinnati; and Sept. 12-22 at the Dodgers, Mets and Yankees. It will be their first trip to the New Yankees Stadium and their first meeting with the Bronx Bombers since 2002.
They'll play back-to-back two-game sets against the Oakland A's in the Bay Bridge series from May 27-30, have another two-gamer in Toronto June 4-5, and a home series against the Red Sox Aug. 19-21. They'll close the year with a three-game series against the Padres Sept. 27-29.
