As the San Francisco Giants and their fanbase await the debut of Hunter Pence in a Giants uniform, skipper Bruce Bochy had a few pregame tidbits about some injured Giants.
Catcher Hector Sanchez is expected to return to San Francisco to be with the team on Thursday, who's been nursing a left knee sprain but after some rehab in the minors is ready to go again. According to the Bay Area Sports Guy, Sanchez could catch Barry Zito in Thursday's day game against the Mets, and a roster move will be made to make room for him.
The other injured Giants who could return tomorrow is Angel Pagan, who got a few days off after punching something hard out of frustration. He took some swings in the cage today, is available off the bench and likely will be back in the starting lineup for the series finale with New York.
