Giants Vs. Mets: Hunter Pence Unlikely For Tuesday's Game, Aubrey Huff Likely To DL

The San Francisco Giants have had themselves a busy Tuesday, and had a number of notes before their meeting with the New York Mets at AT&T Park later this evening.

GM Brian Sabean held a conference call to discuss the Hunter Pence trade, noting that the slugging outfielder is traveling to San Francisco today but will unlikely be ready to suit up for the Black and Orange this evening. Sabean would also note that the status of Pablo Sandoval's health and the big moves made by the Los Angeles Dodgers at the deadline added some urgency to the Pence deal, as they didn't want to get 'outdistanced' by the Boys in Blue in the NL West.

As for Aubrey Huff, who re-injured his already ailing knee while running out a ground ball in Monday night's game will likely be placed back on the disabled list, leaving the Giants a bit short-handed for Tuesday's matchup. Another tough break for Huff to an already frustrating 2012 campiagn for him.

Angel Pagan, who injured himself while punching an inanimate object out of frustration last night, is hopeful to play tonight.
