No Charges For Pablo Sandoval In Sexual Assault Case

The Santa Cruz county Sheriff's department have finalized their investigation into sexual assault allegations against San Francisco Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval, concluding that there is not enough evidence to press any charges against the All-Star, according to CSN Bay Area.

An official press release from the Sheriff's department noted that while no charges were filed, the case will be sent over to the district attorney for further review.

The event in question occurred on the night of June 1 after meeting up with the alleged victim at a local hotel after meeting Sandoval in downtown Santz Cruz earlier that evening. She would later name Sandoval as a suspect, though he was never detained or arrested by authorities. His attorney, Eric Geffon, maintained all along that the situation was "a consensual, personal relationship."

Sandoval was on the disabled list at the time after surgery to remove the hamate bone from his left hand. Kung Fu Panda is currently hitting .307, with eight home runs and 30 RBI's for the Black and Orange.
