MLB Standings: Giants Hungry To Take A Bite Out Of Dodgers Lead

The San Francisco Giants have a six pack of games against NL West foes this week, a perfect opportunity to vault themselves toward the top of the NL West standings. Unfortunately all of of those game will be on the road, though they'l bring a little momentum along with them.

L.A. is currently eight games above .500 at 18-10, while San Francisco is four games behind and an even 14-14 on the year. Arizona and Colorado aren't far behind at 14-15 and 12-15 respectfully, while the Padres are brining up the rear with a 9-20 record and a three game losing streak.

If the Giants could manage to sweep the Dodgers in L.A., they would sit just one game back heading to Arizona for their weekend set with the D-backs. Either way, should be an exciting week in the NL West.
