Brewers Vs. Giants Preview: Giants Look For Series Victory In Rubber Match

After losing 6-4 Friday night and winning 5-2 on Saturday, the San Francisco Giants will look to take the series from the Milwaukee Brewers behind Matt Cain Sunday afternoon. Cain is 1-2 so far this season despite posting a 2.35 ERA and 30 strikeouts to only six walks. The Giants have struggled to support the pitcher, scoring only four runs overall in Cain's last three starts.

The Brewers face San Francisco missing some key elements of their lineup, Mat Gamel tore his ACL on Tuesday against the Padres, Ryan Braun left the following game with a sore Achilles tendon, Carlos Gomez strained his left hamstring in Friday's victory over the Giants and Alex Gonzales may have a serious knee injury resulting from sliding into second base in Saturday's loss. The Brewers will look to Shaun Marcum (1-1, 3.19) to contain the Giants, who went 1-1 with a 4.85 ERA against San Francisco in the 2011 season. Buster Posey may have a big day, he's 15 for 32 against Milwaukee with four home runs.

The game starts at 1:05pm PST and will be broadcast on CSN-Bay Area and KNBR 680 AM.
