Giants Vs. Marlins: Ryan Vogelsong Takes The Mound As Miami Eyes Road Sweep

As everyone prepares to hear terrible news on Pablo Sandoval's left hand, the San Francisco Giants still have a game to play this afternoon, looking to avoid being swept by the Miami Marlins for the second straight series at AT&T Park.

Ryan Vogelsong (0-1 4.19 ERA) is still looking for his first victory of the year, allowing four earned runs over six innings in his last time out in Cincinnati, but had back-to-back quality starts to start the year. He's had 20 strikeouts, walked seven while allowing 16 hits in 19 1/3 innings of work this season. Vogey is 1-2 with a 2.16 ERA in six career outings against the Marlins, including a .174 opponent's batting average and 17 strikeouts in 25 innings pitched.

He'll be up against Anibal Sanchez (1-0 2.73 ERA) who held the D-backs to just two runs on three hits over seven innings of work despite struggling early with his command in his last outing.

Angel Pagan is still streaking, bumping his hit streak to 16 straight last night, but all the focus remains on Sandoval, who will likely have a diagnosis on his hand sometime this morning.

First pitch is set for 12:45 p.m. PT with coverage on CSN Bay Area and KNBR 680 AM.
