The San Francisco Giants too kcare of business when the Milwaukee Brewers came to town earlier this month, now the Brew Crew is out for some revenge this week at Miller Park, beging with Monday night's matchup between Madison Bumgarner and Randy Wolf.
Wolf will take his 6.38 ERA to the mound and attempt to bounce back after lasting just four innings against the Houston Astros, giving up seven runs (six earned) en route to an 8-3 loss. The former San Diego Padre has seen lots of the Giants in his time though, owning a 9-7 with a 2.99 ERA in 21 carrer starts against the Black and Orange.
As for Bumgarner, he'll be looking to get back into gear after his second straight loss at the hands of the St. Louis cardinals in his last start, allowing four runs in 7 1/3 innings of work. Madison has faced Milwaukee four times in his career, going 3-1 with a 1.27 ERA.
Coming into tonight's game, the Giants have won 13 of their last 20 against Milwaukee, though lost 2-3 at Miller Park last season. Their lone win last year was May 27, thanks in part to Brandon Crawford's grand slam in his MLB debut. Good memories heading into the road trip.
First pitch is set for 5:10 p.m. PT with coverage on CSN Bay Area and KNBR 680 AM in the Bay, while Fox Sports Wisconsin and WTMJ 620 AM while have coverage in the Milwaukee area.
