Both the San Francisco Giants and Colorado Rockies would have likes to start their 2012 season’s a bit better, but now head to the Mile High City for the opening seres at Coors field as Barry Zito and Jhoulys Chacin are set to make their 2012 debuts, with each looking for a strong start to the season.
The Giants will give both Buster Posey an Brandon Belt the day off as Aubrey Huff moves to first base batting clean up and Hector Sanchez will make his first start of the season for San Francisco. Gregor Blanco wil start in left field and lead off once more, while Angel Pagan moves down to No. 7 in the lineup playing center.
This will be a good day for Aubrey Huff to show some worth, making his first appearance as the clean up hitter this season. Same goes for Barry Zito, who’s got just about everyone lacking confidence in his abilities. Both of these guys need to have a solid day if the Giants want to earn themselves a win.
