Giants Vs. Diamondbacks: Game Time, TV Schedule & More

The new-look San Francisco Giants will have their first chance in 2012 to shine, as they head slightly East to take on their National League West rivals, the Arizona Diamondbacks. The three-game series will be a stiff first test for the newer, younger Giants team, as they take on the defending division champs who remain largely unchanged and just as threatening as last year.

Tim Lincecum will be taking the hill for the Giants and will be facing the Diamondbacks' ace, Ian Kennedy. The D-backs will have their usual sluggers facing Lincecum, like Justin Upton and Paul Goldschmidt. Goldschmidt, let us not forget, adores hitting long home runs off our poor two-time Cy Young Award winner.

Brandon Belt will have his first chance to prove he belongs on Monday, as he is expected to be the Opening Day first baseman for the second year in a row. Hopefully this year turns out much differently than the last. And of course, the long-awaited regular-season return of Buster Posey is finally here.

Friday's game will begin at 4:05 p.m. PT and will air both on CSN Bay Area and ESPN2. You can catch the radio broadcast, as always, on KNBR.
